The Coaching Philosophy

I played four years at the NCAA Division I level. I was never the fastest skater or the biggest guy in the room — but I became a student of the game and a technician of every skill that could be trained. That's the lens I bring to Blueline: everything improvable is improvable with the right structure and enough reps.

Parents often ask me how many sessions it takes to see results. The honest answer is: it depends on how broken the mechanics are and how often the player is reinforcing the work between sessions. What I can tell you is that players who show up consistently and execute the dryland assignments get measurably better. Every time.

I don't run a camp factory. Sessions at Blueline are capped intentionally so I can give real attention to each player. If you're looking for a high-volume camp where your kid does the same circuit for three hours, this isn't it. If you want your player to arrive at fall tryouts genuinely different on the ice, let's talk.

Core Principles

Honest assessment before anything else

Every player starts with a film session. I tell you what I actually see — not what you want to hear. That's the only way the work is targeted.

High repetition, high correction

Skills only become automatic through volume. Sessions at Blueline run dense — you're moving from the moment you step on the ice.

Measurable progress, every cycle

We benchmark at intake and retest every six sessions. You should see numbers move. If they don't, we adjust the plan.

Game-realistic pressure

Drills don't happen in a vacuum. Every skill gets trained in conditions that simulate real game pressure — time, space, and an opponent.
